I could go on and on about how Ryan Miller is one of ten Miller Spartys. I could brag about how, as a Spartan, he set the NCAA record for most shut outs with 26 and earned the nickname "Unscoreable". I could go on and on about his silver medal, his Vezina trophy, and the fact that he's the first American player to win the NHL foundation award. I could say all that but... did you know other players actually exist on their roster? I know that comes as a shock but here are a few random hits about various members of the Buffalo Sabres.
Ville Leino
Finnish and used to be a Red Wing. All you need to know.
(Please note the troll face)
Patrick Kaleta
Patrick is the fourth Buffalo Native to play for the Sabres. Unlike his counterparts, Kaleta has spent the most time as a Sabre and played the most games.
OH! And he might have one punched knocked out Patrick Kane in a bar in 2010.
Robyn Regehr
Although Regehr spent most of his life in Canada the first six or seven years of his life were spent abroad with his parents who are Mennonite missionaries. In fact, Robyn was born in Recife, Brazil.
Mike Grier
BORN not RAISED IN SOUTH DETROIIIIIIIT!*
*The particular direction of Detroit I'm not entirely sure of but he was indeed born in Detroit.
Uniquely enough, Mike Grier is the first African-American player born and raised in the United States.
For the sake of 30-30-30 and those who will hit me with technicalities, they are now all one player.
Their new collective name is:
Paryikellebyn Griletnohriller
