Just when we all were about to be locked up in padded rooms due to the anxiety of many of our favorite players possibly not being on our roster next year the news breaks that Nicklas Lidstrom will indeed return for his 20th season.

The news could not have come at a better time. Many of us are watching the approach of July 1st come very quickly. Almost too quickly. We have players that we need to get signed and get signed quick. With the announcement of the return of one of Detroit's most favorite adopted sons, we all can let out one huge sigh of relief.

Thank you Nicklas Lidstrom for allowing us to watch you be amazing for (at least) one more year.
